Training Video Production

Answer the question once. Properly, on camera, for everyone who asks it after that.

The same product walkthrough, the same induction, the same support call: your best people spend hours every week repeating things they’ve already explained. We turn that knowledge into training videos your customers and staff actually use, filmed at your site, from £2,000 + VAT, fixed before we book a date. Based in Glasgow, filming across Scotland and the North of England.

Your best people keep repeating themselves

Somewhere in your business there’s a person everyone goes to. They run the inductions, they take the support calls, they show every new customer how the product works. They’re brilliant at it, and it’s eating their week. Every explanation is senior time spent on a question that’s already been answered a hundred times.

The usual fixes don’t hold. Written guides don’t get read. In-person training depends on who’s delivering it that day, and it walks out the door when they do. A training video holds the best version of the answer and gives it to everyone, every time, while your expert gets their week back.

What training videos cover

“Training video” covers a lot of different jobs. These are the ones we’re usually asked for.

Product setup & installation

Step-by-step videos that get your customers from box to working product without a phone call.

Customer tutorials & troubleshooting

The questions your support inbox answers every week, solved once on camera and available at 2am.

Staff onboarding & induction

New starts learn the job the same way every time, from the person who knows it best, without booking that person’s afternoon. Close cousin of our corporate video production work.

Health & safety and compliance

Briefings staff actually watch, with a record that the training happened.

Screen recordings & software walkthroughs

Your software demonstrated on screen, narrated properly, with clean graphics where they help.

Online courses & paid training

When the training IS the product. We film and edit course content people pay for, and it has to be good enough that they don’t ask for the money back.

Three training jobs, three different problems

The best way to explain training video is to show you the very different problems it’s solved for our clients.

Quarch Technology — product training library Quarch’s engineers were losing hours every week to repetitive support calls. We filmed a library of setup, troubleshooting and FAQ videos at their Highlands site. Customers now solve problems themselves.
The West Partnership — teacher professional learning One film from a major series: more than ten videos featuring ten practitioners, taking real classroom practice from schools like St Anthony’s Primary to teachers across the Glasgow city region.
Tom Langhorne — Resilient Roots online course Training as the product: a lesson from Resilient Roots, Tom’s 50-plus lesson online course. Produced well enough that people pay for it, £30k of it in the first three months.

There’s more in our portfolio, including the full story of Quarch’s training library and Tom Langhorne’s £30k online course. If what you need is customers telling their story rather than learning something, that’s a testimonial video.

Why it works

Why training videos earn their keep

A training video only pays for itself if people actually use it instead of asking. Everything about how we work is built around that.

  • Answer it once One good recording replaces the hundredth repeat of the same explanation. The maths is simple: if a video saves your expert an hour a week, it pays for itself inside the year, then keeps going.
  • The same message, every time Live training varies with the trainer, the day and the room. A video delivers the best version of the explanation, identically, to the first viewer and the five-hundredth.
  • Show it, don’t describe it Most training is about doing something: setting up a product, following a procedure, using software. Watching the task done properly beats reading about it every time.
  • It works while you don’t Customers get stuck at 9pm and new starts arrive mid-project. Video training is there when they are, without anyone’s calendar involved.

How we make training videos

Three steps, one filming day, and as little of your expert’s time as we can manage.

01

Plan it with us

We work out together what actually needs answered: the questions your team repeats, the tasks people get wrong, the knowledge that lives in one head. Then we script it with you. Your expert brings the knowledge; nobody needs presenting experience.

02

A filming day at your site

We film where the work happens, with your product and your people, and batch several videos into one day. That’s what makes a training library affordable.

03

Delivered ready to use

Edited, captioned and back within two weeks of filming, ready for your website, your internal systems or YouTube.

Who does the work

The people who film it are the people who planned it.

Training videos live or die on whether the explanation is clear. Our own senior team, led by Jack, scripts, films and edits every project, the same people behind the training libraries for Quarch and The West Partnership.

What training videos cost

From £2,000 + VAT, fixed

Training video production starts from £2,000 + VAT, fixed before we book a date. What moves the price is how many videos you need and how much filming each one takes. Because we batch several videos into one filming day, a library of short training videos costs far less per video than commissioning them one at a time.

Training video production FAQs

How much does a training video cost?

Our training video production starts from £2,000 + VAT, fixed before we book a date. The price moves with how many videos you need and how much filming each involves. A batch day at your site is the economical route: several videos from one setup. Real numbers are on our pricing page.

Nobody here has presenting experience. Does that matter?

No, and honestly, most of our clients start there. We script the videos with you and direct on the day, so your expert just has to know their subject. Quarch’s team told us afterwards the videos came out high quality “given that none of us had done a project like this before and are rarely on camera”.

Can you film at our premises?

Yes, that’s the default. Training videos work best filmed where the work actually happens, with your product and your people. Travel across the central belt is included in every fixed quote; further afield, travel is priced into the quote up front, never billed afterwards.

Can you do screen recordings and software walkthroughs?

Yes, absolutely. We record your software cleanly, narrate it properly and add simple graphics where they help. What we don’t do is fully animated explainer videos; if that’s what your project needs, we’re not the right fit for it.

Can we update the videos later when things change?

Yes. Products and procedures change, and a training video shouldn’t die with the first update. We keep your project files, so re-editing a section or refilming a single video is quoted as a small fixed job, not a new project.

Do you run video production training courses?

No, we make videos rather than teach filmmaking. But if you want to learn, Jack gives away everything we know about it on his YouTube channel, free.

Want to learn filmmaking rather than hire it? Jack shares everything free on his YouTube channel.

Still answering the same question every week?

Tell us what your team keeps explaining and who needs to hear it. You’ll get a fixed price and a straight answer about whether video will fix it.
