Fraunhofer Centre for Applied Photonics · LinkedIn Series
15 LinkedIn films for Fraunhofer
The challenge
The Fraunhofer Centre for Applied Photonics is a laser and photonics research centre in Glasgow, part of Fraunhofer, Europe’s largest application-oriented research organisation. Specialist research has a visibility problem: the work happens behind lab doors, and the people it needs to attract, scientists, engineers and the staff who keep a research centre running, can’t see what working there is actually like.
Fraunhofer wanted a steady stream of films for LinkedIn doing two jobs at once: showing prospective recruits the people behind the centre, and putting the projects themselves in front of the industry.
Our solution
A series built for the feed, not the archive:
- Staff stories: team members across the centre telling their own story on camera, in their own words. The film above features John Gillespie, their IT support technician, because a research centre is hiring for every kind of role, not just the lab.
- Project films: short promos putting Fraunhofer’s research work in front of partners and industry.
- Filmed at their Glasgow centre, around the team’s real schedules
- Short, branded edits sized for how LinkedIn is actually watched
The results
- The videos outperform every other type of post on Fraunhofer’s LinkedIn, text, images, the lot
- Improved awareness for the centre’s research among partners and industry
- Fifteen films delivered, doing two jobs: recruitment and project promotion
- The series has kept growing since the first shoot
Really enjoyed working with these guys. Professional, straightforward, know their stuff … Will continue to use their services. Very fair prices.
